Together with colleagues from the University of Kaiserslautern, we have developed the open source convenience layer ATOMIQ for the experiment control environment ARTIQ. The goal of this project is to provide a layer on top of the ARTIQ realtime experiment control ecosystem, that provides solutions to common ARTIQ pitfalls and can be easily used by everyone without requiring months of training.

ATOMIQ supplies an abstraction layer that allows to move hardware specific information and device interconnections into a configuration layer and enables working with generic software objects representing the actual hardware in the lab.

The package is now publicly available on gitlab. To stay updated on the developments on this project, subscribe to our newsletter.
