Classical emulators of quantum computers provide valuable means to quantify the performance and investigate features of a quantum computing platform. With the goal to theoretically study the capabilities of the Rydberg quantum computer QRydDemo in full detail, we have now launched version 1.0 of our emulator. This allows future users of our hardware to get familiar with QRydDemo’s native gate operations and simulate smaller scale problems on classical backends hosted at the University of Stuttgart.
The QRydDemo Emulator v1.0 supports the quantum computing frameworks Qiskit (IBM) and qoqo (HQS Quantum Simulation) and enables users to directly start compiling and executing quantum algorithms with up to 30 qubits. The emulator will be constantly updated with the aim to include error models and novel types of quantum operations supported by the anticipated QRydDemo hardware in upcoming versions.
