With the start of the winter semester 2022/23, we offer a new advanced lab course on quantum computing at the University of Stuttgart. In this course, we teach our students how to translate paradigm problems into code that can be executed on quantum hardware. Those include the implementation of Grover’s search algorithm and the computation of simple molecules using the hybrid quantum-classical VQE method. Once the problems are set up and programmed in Qiskit, we will let them run on IBM’s quantum computers and simulators.
