We have launched two new projects both starting in December 2021. The project CiRQus aims to develop a neutral atom quanutm simulator with very long-lived circular Rydberg states. “In this project, I want to increase the coherence time of the Rydberg platform to more than 10 milliseconds,” says project coordinator Dr. Florian Meinert (University of Stuttgart). CiRQus is fundend by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) as part of the competition “Quantum Futur”.
QZell is a joint project between partners from academia and industry. Led by coordinator Dr. Ulrike Schulz (Fraunhofer IOF, Jena), the consortium aims to develop novel optical components wihch will help to improve the control of our qubits.
